in "Armed Response"- finally saw it (can you believe it?!) Great cast, dialogue ("a two bit hood in a three peice suit") and shooting up Chinatown. (I did a search and didn't find a thread so hope I'm not rehashing an old question, did I miss something?) What happened at the end: the car's under water? What happened to the Blonde?

WGA Lawsuit

I got an email about a class action suit against the WGA involving foreign levies. I'm not a member so I ignored it pretty much - got a special delivery slipped under my door going on and on about it... I guess others here got the same thing. It's pages of legalese - seems like it's basically saying that the WGA is not authorized to collect this money and thought it has, it's not been giving me my due?

Since we went public with our new company and our movie MARA, quite a few (American) distributors and sales companies have been in touch with us, and they've asked about our upcoming projects.
...Something that made us discuss the trends right now.

Here's what some of them wrote:

"We're not looking for gore and violence, that doesn't sell, but supernatural thrillers."

"Horror isn't hot anymore. Do you have any action movies? Science fiction?"

One guy even asked for Westerns!

But still, every other horror movie on the DVD shelves at least over here, has the word UNRATED! across the box art as a selling argument. And I thought the torture porn trend would die after HOSTEL 2 bombed at the B.O., but no, there comes new D2DVD movies in that genre all the time.
And what about vampires? Will their popularity continue?

So: what are the trends right now?!
